INNER
EXPANSION CREATIVE MEDITATION And
so we arrive at meditation, the practice of which clears the mind
and enhances dream states of clarity and direction of purpose.
Meditation
requires a focus of mind, so that it cannot blabber away on all
and anything it wants, and so is tamed. A candle, mantra, breath,
sound etc are all a type of focus. In a meditative state the brainwaves
go slower down through Alpha to Theta then to Delta and you are
in deep awareness of the inner self. Endorphins are released naturally
into the body and you feel real, real good. |

Meditation
is the freeway to enlightenment. It helps us get in touch with
our Higher Self/Levels of Being or God within. It opens us to
higher energy sources and recharges body, mind and spirit. Perception
depends upon our energy level, and meditation is the way to keep
energy at its highest.
Although
positive changes are experienced immediately from meditation,
many are gradual. You will experience a reduction in stress and
tension, an overall improvement in health, and feelings of peacefulness.
But meditation is not a wonder drug that relieves all ills overnight.
It begins to sensitise you to problems at hand and maintain your
energy level, so you are better able to deal with whatever is
facing you. It gives you the eyes to see and the ears to hear,
so you can see how you are getting out of life exactly what you
feel you deserve - nothing more, nothing less! |

Why
Meditate ? Today
western medical practitioners agree that regular Meditation has
numerous benefits on our health and in our lives.
Meditation
can help you let go of stress and tension at a physical, mental
and spiritual level. It can help bring balance, harmony, wellbeing
and inner peace back into your life, while re-energising your
whole being and opening up to your inner guidance. We all experience
very busy times in our lives and often don’t take time out
for ourselves. When we are relaxed and ‘in our energy’,
we can better cope with our every day challenges. Through meditation
you can let go of stress and tension at a physical, mental and
spiritual level and bring balance, harmony, wellbeing and inner
peace back into your life, while opening up to your inner guidance.

| |
What
is Meditation ?
Meditation
is a deep form of relaxation whereby the body becomes so relaxed
and the mind is cleared and becomes ‘still’, allowing
the creative mind to open and flow without disruption from the conscious,
logical, analytical mind. |
| |
|
|
| |
What
are the benefits of Meditation?
In
addition to releasing tension and stress, Meditation also helps
you let go of negative thoughts, emotions and feelings that you
have and no longer need, from the past, present and even the future
and which may be holding you back in life.
When
we let go of these things we become more balanced and create a
sense of wellbeing within ourselves so that we begin to make room
for the true self to emerge and to open ourselves to our true
desires, hopes and fulfilment of dreams, free of obstacles, restrictions,
limitations and fears.
The table adjacent lists some of the commonly experienced benefits,
both short and long term. However, there are many more personal
and specific benefits to each individual. |
| |
|
|
| |
How
long before I see the results? Meditation
is not a quick fix like taking a pain relief tablet. With regular
Meditation you will begin to see and feel the results after 4
– 6 weeks. Don’t give up after one or two weeks! Greater
results are achieved over time.
A
weekly group Meditation should be maintained to see, feel, and
to maximise, the benefits in your life.

What
is a Creative Visualisation Meditation? We
begin the Meditation with a physical relaxation process to assist
in releasing tension and stress in the body and to begin to clear
and still the mind.
Then,
the Creative Visualisation journey begins using guided imagery,
which can be anything from pure fantasy to practical reality.
You will be guided through an experiential journey which will
allow your own creativity and imagination to expand, explore and
flourish.
|
| |
|
|
| |
What
does it feel like? Meditation
can be described as that special time in the morning your body
is so relaxed and you’re half awake half asleep. You’re
aware of things around you but your mind just drifts around.
Sometimes it can also feel like a daydream and other times you
can feel as though you have drifted off to sleep and not remember
anything at all.
|
| |
|
|
| |
What
should I expect to see? Expect
nothing, just allow your imagination to flow and take you wherever
you need to or choose to go.
You
may see vivid and colourful images or explore wonderful stories,
you may feel sensations in or around your body or maybe even strong
emotions, or you may even hear wonderful sounds or music.
|
| |
|
|
| |
Will
this style of Meditation conflict with my own religious and/or spiritual
beliefs? It
doesn’t matter what your religious and/or spiritual beliefs
are, a Creative Visualisation Meditation will not conflict with
your beliefs.
In
fact, it is likely to support and reinforce your own individual
religious and/or spiritual beliefs and your oneness with your
God.
|
| |
|
|
| |
Isn’t
Meditation only for ‘alternative’ people?
All
kinds of people Meditate because everyone needs some time out
for themselves and deserves balance and wellbeing in their lives.
Everyone
needs to get in touch with and understand and learn to trust their
own inner guidance, their own gut feelings and intuition, and
allow it to become clearer and stronger.
|
| |
|
|
| |
So,
can anyone Meditate? Basically,
yes! Anyone can learn. Children from their early teens to adults
in their golden years can do it. Beginners and experienced alike
can join this group.
But
there are some exceptions. Those suffering any form of psychosis,
severe depression or anxiety (with or without medication) are
advised against it. Anyone working with a therapist is required
to obtain permission before commencing Meditation.
